After the passing of his father, Cullen Galyean in 2010, son Mickey felt a strong desire to keep the music of his father alive. Rated one of the top banjo pickers of the 1960s, Cullen left a legacy of traditional mountain bluegrass songs that have been recorded by notable bluegrass artists over the years. Mickey chose personnel he felt understood and appreciated this lineage, naming the band Cullen’s Bridge to solidify the tribute. Alongside the elder Galyean’s tunes, Cullen’s Bridge play originals, Monroe and Stanley classics and other standards. Make no mistake, this is no frills, in your face traditional bluegrass.
